Payment and Reservation Policies
Payment is due before items are released - picked up or delivered. If we are delivering your order, and you will not be home, please call our office to provide a Visa or Mastercard account number. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Interac, and personal cheques are accepted with a valid driver's license or a major credit card. Businesses can set up charge accounts upon credit approval. Most prices quoted are for a one day event.
Orders can be placed over the phone, by fax, by email, or in person at our store.
A deposit of 25% of the order is taken on all tent rentals, special linen orders, and limited quantity inventory items. This deposit is non-refundable.
A major credit card is required to be on our files to cover any lost or broken inventory.
Remember, the inventory is charged out on a time out, not time used basis.
Delivery and Pick-Up Service
Delivery and Pick-Up Services are available for a fee. All deliveries
are scheduled and sent out on routes. It is possible to request
a morning or afternoon delivery. Deliveries required at a specific
time, or before or after regular business hours will result in
an increased delivery charge. Our standard delivery fee is based
on a tailgate drop off. If our delivery personnel are required
to carry items up or down stairs or great distances, an extra
charge will apply. Happenings Party Rentals will not be held responsible
for any damages to customer's property if the customer has authorized
Happenings' staff to use driveways, lawns, patios and other areas
to drive and/or walk over.
Our personnel are instructed to neatly stack all items in a mutually convenient place. Special containers are provided for china, glassware, etc., to ensure that you receive your items sanitized, undamaged, sparkling and table ready. It is the customer's responsibility to return the inventory into the containers provided and to have inventory stacked and ready for pick up.
Set up and take down services are available for an additional charge, but these arrangements must be made in advance of delivery and pick-up.
Responsibility for Inventory
The responsibility for equipment remains with the renter from
the time of receipt to the time of return. Tables and chairs should
be taken down, stacked and ready for pick up. All china, glassware,
etc. must be food-free and repacked in the same containers in
which they were received. Linens should be refuse-free and dry
to prevent staining and mildew. Mildewed linens returned in plastic
bags will be charged to the customer.
We do charge for missing, broken, damaged, and weather damaged items (including packing containers). Be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather.
A major credit card is required to be on our files to cover any missing or broken inventory.
